Marius Băcilă
Marius Băcilă is a BMW International Instructors Academy certified trainer, so he can teach riders all about bike control and safe riding on public roads. Riding motorcycles is his biggest passion, so, when he’s not teaching riders, he’s editor-in-chief for the only motorcycling magazine in Romania, MotoBikes. He’s been riding for over 10 years and has done more than 200.000 km of road riding, at temperatures varying between -10 and +40 degrees Celsius, on hundreds of motorcycles and scooters of all brands and types. He also has some racetrack experience, as he participated in several Romanian Superbike rounds, as an amateur rider. He’s also done quite a bit of off-road riding, both on adventure bikes and on motocross and enduro bikes.
Marius believes that the number 1 priority for anyone riding on public roads should be to return home unharmed. In order to make sure of this, first you should keep a clear head and always anticipate other drivers’ mistakes, always leaving room to manoeuvre, but you should also learn to control your bike as well as possible in all situations, from a simple U-turn in a parking lot to important manoeuvres such as emergency and avoidance. That is why the courses that teach you how to perform these manoeuvres as efficiently as possible are very important.
